Oud Kerkhof 1 Sneek - website
How can the church building maintain its central place in Sneker society - to be a multifunctional center for all Snekers - without losing significance for those who have traditionally used it? And what is the role of the civil municipality in this.
  • Thursday 6 November19:30 - 21:30

Flip van Doorn will tell us this evening about the history of the church, but also take us into the future.

What will happen as the number of believers continues to decline? Their place of meeting is a defining monument in the city center. It is religious heritage, but at the same time cultural heritage. How can the church and the civil community share their mutual responsibility for preserving the building? How can the church building retain its central place in Sneker society - to be a multifunctional center for all Snekers - without losing significance for those who have traditionally used it?

After the break, he is happy to engage in conversation with those present.
