In Son Hasat, workers' bosses clash and a conflict over bird poaching plays out at the same time. Ali refuses to adapt as his wife does and resists. After an accident in which one of the bosses disappears, he becomes increasingly entangled. To escape, he ventures into illegal cane smuggling, a dangerous venture.

The film shows in slow pace the rhythm of the village in Anatolia. The cane fields are not only the backdrop but also an oppressive character in a story about power, survival and the search for a better life.
