Bieb Café Sneek: Symphony No. 6: Beethoven's Pastoral dissected

In this symphony, Beethoven coupled his great power of form with the fine feelings surrounding nature and the countryside. Scenes by a stream, a happy gathering and a hefty thunderstorm. All pass by in this famous symphony. The lecture will be given by Gabriël Vriens, who has provided music lectures for the libraries of Sneek, Leeuwarden and Drachten for many years. During the lecture he will tell how the musical themes are constructed and in what special way Beethoven works with this beautiful music. In short, a delight for the ear!

Once a month the Bieb Café hosts a speaker who gives a lecture or workshop. You can register in advance, but that is not obligatory. The lecture costs €1,- including coffee/tea.
