Bildtstar + Junkyard Dogs – A Double Dose of Frisian Hard Rock at the Bolwerk

Two Frisian rock bands, one night full of heavy guitars and raw energy. Bildtstar and Junkyard Dogs are joining forces for a hard-hitting double bill featuring influences from hard rock, rock ’n’ roll, punk, blues rock, and metal.

Fans of hard-hitting, raw rock can have a blast at the Bolwerk on Friday, October 16. Bildtstar and Junkyard Dogs will share the stage for an evening centered around powerful riffs, screaming guitars, and pure live energy.

Bildtstar delivers fast-paced, old-school heavy rock with a generous dose of rock ’n’ roll. The Frisian band made a name for itself with its debut EP, *Burning After Midnight*, and even reached number one on the Fryske Top 100 with the rock ballad “Au Revoir.” Live, Bildtstar is all about raw energy, heavy guitar work, and songs that seem tailor-made for a packed house.

Junkyard Dogs from Sneek takes an equally raw approach. Their music draws on the heavy rock sound of the 1970s and 1980s, complemented by elements of blues rock, punk, and metal. Over the years, the band has built a reputation for energetic performances in rock cafes, at festivals, and, of course, at the Bolwerk itself.
