Birds of prey course

Birds of prey have a special role in the ecosystem by being at the top of the food chain. But how do you recognize them in the field? Why is the marsh harrier not in the forest and does a hawk not show itself as easily?

To learn more about these fascinating birds, this course is given at the Bogerman, Sneek by Lydia Barkema, raptor researcher. During the theory evenings you will learn to recognize the species and learn more about their way of life.

During the excursions we go out to two different areas and you have a chance to spot the birds of prey. The raptor course consists of 2 theory evenings on November 11 and 25 and 2 excursions on November 15 and December 13. Costs are 55,- p.p.
