Concert: Roberto Jacketti & The Scooters + DJ René CD - I Save The Day

The group broke through in 1983 with the hit “I Save the Day” and went on to become one of the standout acts on the Dutch pop scene at the time. With their infectious mix of ska, pop, and energy, they scored several hits and also performed internationally in countries such as Germany, France, and Spain.

Well-known songs such as “Make Me Cry,” “Arrivederci,” and “Love Cat” followed, further solidifying the band’s place in the Dutch charts. In 1984, they even received a Zilveren Harp award for their achievements. After lineup changes and a period with fewer hits, reunions and occasional performances followed, allowing the band to perform their classics live once again. To this day, the music of Roberto Jacketti & The Scooters remains instantly recognizable thanks to its fresh ska influences and nostalgic ’80s vibe.
