  • Saturday 16 May t/m Sunday 30 August10:00 - 17:00

In thirty personal portraits, Blauhústers show who they are, what they do, what their story is and how they form a community together.

Blauhús - 30 stories, 1 mienskip is part of the artistic storytelling project SAVE. SAVE stands for Stories of the Archipelago of Villages in Europe. As in the Frisian Blauhus, thirty personal stories have been collected in the Croatian Praputnjak, Serbian Hopovo and Lithuanian village Jadagoniai. Together, the SAVE stories create a diverse and intimate picture of rural life in Europe today.

The stories from Blauhús were collected by Sjoerd Litjens and Sippy Tigchelaar, the images were captured by Tryntsje Nauta and Marieke Kijk in de Vegte. The exhibition can be seen from May 16 until the end of August in the gardens of the Fries Scheepvaart Museum in Sneek.
