Maakplaats: Workshop on Making Prints with Gelli Plates

Get to know Gelli Plates, discover the technique, and experiment with colors, layers, and materials. Gelli Plates are soft printing plates that you can use with acrylic paint to create handmade prints. By using colors, textures, and different materials, you’ll create a variety of prints and effects every time.

What can you expect?
We’ll start with a brief explanation of the technique and then spend most of our time experimenting. Together, we’ll discover all the possibilities: from working in layers to creating prints with different materials. By making lots of prints, you’ll develop a better feel for the technique.

At the end, you’ll take several of your own prints home with you. You can frame them, incorporate them into an art journal, or use them for other creative projects.

Who is this for?
This workshop is for anyone who enjoys being creative or is curious about new techniques. No experience with Gelli Plates or printing techniques is necessary. The workshop is all about practicing together, experimenting, and having fun with the creative process. Whether you’re creating something for the first time or are already a seasoned creator, you’re warmly welcome.
