After The Favourite, Poor Things and Kinds of Kindness, Stone and Lanthimos join forces again, this time for a quirky remake: that of the South Korean sci-fi comedy Save the Green Planet (2003) by Jang Joon-hwan. The film - about the fear of aliens - became a cult classic on the festival circuit, but never reached the general public.

Each his own reality. Bugonia marks the fourth collaboration between top actor Emma Stone and director Yorgos Lanthimos, a man who has a patent on confusing cinema with absurd-surrealist overtones.
