Discover the power, tranquility and fun of rowing: Open Day at rowing club De Geeuw on March 21!
Fancy a new sportive challenge - a sport where teamwork, technique and nature experience go hand in hand? Then come to the Open Day at Roeivereniging De Geeuw in Sneek on Saturday, March 21 and get acquainted with the sport of rowing! Whether you are curious about your first rowing strokes, want to meet experienced rowers or just want to taste the cozy atmosphere of our club: everyone is welcome.
Our club is located right in the watery heart of Sneek, near the Waterpoort and with access to beautiful sailing routes - ideal for rowing, relaxing and experiencing.
What can you expect at the Open Day?
- Welcome with coffee, tea and explanation of the introductory course
- Tour of the boat shed - over 40 rowing boats of all shapes and sizes,
from skiffs to wherry's and from C material to smooth boats.
- Try it for yourself!
o Experience first rowing strokes in the rowing box on the water.
o Test yourself on the rowing ergometer.
o Step into a real rowing boat with others and feel what rowing does to you.
- Meet members and instructors - what does the introductory course look like? What makes rowing so unique? Ask them yourself!
- Membership information - signing up directly for the introductory course is among the options.
Rowing is a sport that combines strength, technique and nature experience. Whether you want to push your limits solo or work together in a team - at De Geeuw you will find your rhythm on the water.
