Socrates in Sneek invites you to stop, think through and look again. Not to get ready-made answers, but to see more clearly what moves you - and how you can flourish.

An evening full of encounter and deepening
On Tuesday, March 17, Socrates will be a guest at Philosophical Café Sneek to host an evening of meeting, deepening and playing with ideas. Each participant chooses one of five stimulating discussion forms - each a small voyage of discovery in itself. In short, powerful explorations you will explore together what moves us and why we do what we do.
No therapy and no science, but a lively and intelligent investigation into what drives our actions.

What do we actually mean by the good life?
And do we live it?

In small groups of about eight participants you will engage in conversation, guided by an experienced moderator. Expect attentive listening, surprising insights, humor and real encounters.

As Socrates beautifully put it:
The good is like the sun.
You can't look at it directly - it blinds you.
But thanks to it, everything becomes visible.
So the good shows itself not in words,
but in how we live and act.
