The Day of the Eleven Cities Tour will take place at the Fries Scheepvaart Museum on Jan. 15, 2026. Sports historian Jurryt van de Vooren opens the afternoon with his research into the connection between the royal family and the Eleven Cities Tour. This includes the 1986 tour in which Crown Prince Willem Alexander was the first Orange to complete the tour.

Henk Kroes, the former chairman and ice master, and his son Sytse explain how they preserve and pass on their knowledge about natural ice now that the chance of a real ice tour is getting smaller. Presenter Sippy Tigchelaar talks to Jan Bakker, the new chairman of the club and a participant himself in 1997. Visitors will also see special film footage from 1956 and 1986. Berend Keulen will also speak about the seven rides he participated in between 1947 and 1997. Tickets cost €11 per person including coffee or tea with orange cake and a drink afterwards. They can be ordered through the website of the Fries Scheepvaart Museum.
