Silent Reading Party in Sneek

Want to take a break from all the notifications, obligations, and distractions? The Silent Reading Party is all about reading in peace, relaxing, and spending time together. Bring the book you’re already reading, start that one book that’s been waiting for you for ages, or pick out something great from the library’s collection right there on the spot.

We’ll read together in silence during short sessions. A timer will signal when each reading session begins and ends. So you don’t have to be quiet the whole evening: between sessions, there’s time to catch up, grab some snacks, or exchange book recommendations. You decide what and how much you read.

The Silent Reading Party isn’t a book club. You don’t need to prepare anything, and you don’t have to talk about your book. It’s mainly about enjoying a pleasant evening where you can read undisturbed, while still spending time with other book lovers.

The event is intended for teens and young adults.
