Silvester Run 2025
Since 2002, the Legeaën has hosted the Silvester Run on December 31, New Year's Eve. Hundreds of people, old and young, use this event to take a break from Christmas and end the year athletically.

This year, the organizers have also picked up the thread. The event is intended for runners and walkers. Some use this as training for other running events, others for fun or just to get moving. There are several challenges in terms of length and speed.
We start at the parking lot of Eetcafé De Trilker in Poppenwier, where registration also takes place, with the traditional bang of the carbide can.
You can choose from the following distances:
- Kidsrun (running) - Start 11:00 a.m.
- 21 km (walking) - Start 11:00
- 21 km (running) - Start 13:00
- 10 km (running & walking) - Start 13:00
- 5 km (running & walking) - Start 13:00
Along the way are some nice locations where you can eat and/or drink something (for a fee). And afterwards there will be a nice souvenir for everyone. Participation costs €5,00 per person (can be paid in cash or via QR-code).
