Singing through the Frisian country - Alauda

On Sunday, June 21, vocal group Alauda from Sneek will cycle and sing through the Frisian countryside. Along villages, churches and meadows, a short concert will sound in every church. Anyone can ride along, sing along or just listen.

On Sunday, June 21, vocal group Alauda from Sneek will trek through the Frisian landscape, singing and cycling. The route leads past meadows, canals, farms and old village churches to Goënga, Gauw, Sibrandabuorren, Tersoal, Dearsum and Boazum. Each church will feature a short concert, specially arranged for this series with Frisian translations of Scandinavian songs, making the music fit the landscape and villages perfectly.

The bicycle route starts at 10:30 am at Bar 't Ouwe Vat in Sneek (gathering from 10:15 am). Along the way everyone can cycle along, sing along or just listen. Coffee and tea will be available in Sibrandabuorren and Dearsum.

The day ends with a drink in De Boazumer Mjitte in Boazum. The concerts are free to attend, but a voluntary contribution is appreciated. It promises to be a relaxing day full of music, encounters and beautiful Frisian vistas.
