Sneek in-water

As a visitor, you can test sail a wide variety of boats, attend a sailing clinic or workshop, among other things. Sailing, surfing or supping. Besides all kinds of activities, also fun for younger visitors, we have a varied selection of new and used boats. There is a separate occasion jetty where not only brokers but also private individuals can moor their boats for sale.

''The focus during the boat show is on boats encountered on the Frisian waters. Sloops, tenders, day sailors, cabin cruisers but also (steel) motor cruisers,'' said Robbert Evers, one of the initiators of Sneek in-water.

The second edition will again concentrate around the centrally located middle harbor with over 100 berths. Around the marina there is plenty of room for stands from, for example, tourist organizations or suppliers of water sports related articles. For surplus accessories or equipment there will be a 'bakkist' sale. The starting island is known, among other things, from the Sneekweek. The largest inland water sailing event in Europe. To promote competitive sailing, class organizations are given a stage to organize their own activities, such as a boat market.The starting island is a unique location. It is located in the Sneekermeer, in the water sports heart of Friesland. How nice is it to come to Sneek with your own boat during the Whitsun weekend and moor at the starting island for a visit to Sneek in water. Want to stay a night, no problem ... there are plenty of mooring spots.

If you come by car or bike ... you can park it within walking distance of the ferry that takes you to the island. The event is both days from 10:30 am to 5:30 pm. Trial sailing is possible from 15.00 hours.
Water sports enthusiasts can visit Sneek in water for free.
