Sneek Week Music Squares

During Sneekweek, there are several music squares in downtown Sneek, featuring various music genres and live performances. Live music performances take place both indoors and outdoors at the music squares as well as at many cafés.

OUTDOOR VENUES / SQUARES 

Marktstraat is home to Sneekweek’s largest stage. Amid the cozy cafés and bustling outdoor patios, there’s a party here every night with live bands on the main stage. During breaks, a DJ spins tunes on a smaller stage, ensuring the music plays non-stop. You’ll hear a wide variety of music here: pop, rock, party music, dance, and sing-alongs.

Grand Café de Walrus is once again organizing the event “De Beestenboel” during Sneekweek this year. On Schaapmarktplein, various nationally renowned DJs—such as Quintino, All Tha Fokk, Team Rush Hour, and Freddy Moreiro—will keep the party going until the wee hours.  

During Sneekweek,Café Fokk’s sets up a large stage on Prins Hendrikkade and hosts a real party there every night. Every night, well-known Dutch-language artists will take the stage, alternating with party DJs and local favorites. You’ll hear plenty of sing-alongs, party music, and fun hits. The square will be packed with people singing, dancing, and enjoying the atmosphere together. It’s the kind of place where the vibe is great every night and where you’ll easily find yourself staying a little longer. 

On the Jousterkade, you’ll find the music square De Kroon, next to Café de Kroon.

At ’t Ouwe Vat on the 1e Oosterkade, there’s a party every night during Sneekweek (except on Thursdays). On the outdoor stage, artists create a lively atmosphere with sing-alongs and good times. What makes this spot extra special: the De Putkapel brass band traditionally stops by twice (on Sunday and Wednesday). With a view of the water and the bridge, this is a popular spot where you can easily linger for a great evening of music and atmosphere.

InKleine Kerkstraat, it’s party time every night. Several DJs take the stage here daily, offering a varied lineup and plenty of fun. From house and dance to party music and sing-alongs—the vibe is always great. Every night, the street transforms into a cozy open-air club where the beat goes on non-stop until the wee hours.
