Sneekweek Music Squares

During Sneekweek there are several music squares in the center of Sneek, with different music genres and live performances. On music squares and also at many cafes there are indoor and outdoor live music performances.

OUTDOOR LOCATIONS / SQUARES

On the Marktstraat is the biggest stage of Sneekweek. Between the cozy cafes and busy terraces, there is party here every night with live bands on the main stage. In the breaks a DJ plays on a smaller stage, so the music goes on non-stop. You can hear a bit of everything here: pop, rock, party music, dance and sing-alongs.

Grand Café de Walrus is again organizing the event De Beestenboel during Sneekweek this year. On the Schaapmarktplein several nationally known DJs such as, for example, Quintino, All Tha Fokk, Team Rush Hour and Freddy Moreiro will provide a great party until the late hours.

Café Fokk's builds a big stage on the Prins Hendrikkade during Sneekweek and organizes a real party there every night. Every night there are well-known Dutch-speaking artists on stage, interspersed with party DJs and local toppers. You will hear plenty of sing-alongs, party music and fun hits. The square is full of people singing, dancing and enjoying the atmosphere together. Typical of a place where every night is fun and where it is easy to linger a little longer.

On the Jousterkade is music square de Kroon, near Café de Kroon. On this music square you will be surprised by Good Times DJ Team, TimeMaud and ABBA on Sunday. The Crown Jewels are local DJs. Click on the link for the entire program, which is definitely worth it.

The terrace of Brasserie De Koperen Kees turns into Atsje & Leo's Goud van Oud Boulevard from Friday to Tuesday. Here in the Julianastraat from Friday to Tuesday you will enjoy live music with the atmosphere of yesteryear: golden oldies, blues and timeless classics. A nice place for those who love good music, a drink and lively street life!

At 't Ouwe Vat on the 1e Oosterkade there is a party every night during Sneekweek (except Thursday). On the outdoor stage artists provide atmosphere, sing-alongs and fun. What makes this place extra special: brass band De Putkapel traditionally comes here twice (Sunday and Wednesday). Overlooking the water and the bridge, this is a popular spot where you can easily linger for a good evening of music and atmosphere.

In the Kleine Kerkstraat, it's party time every night. There are several DJs on this stage every day who provide a varied program and a lot of fun. From house and dance to party music and sing-alongs - the atmosphere is always good. Every night the street turns into a cozy open-air club where the rhythm goes on non-stop until the late hours.

Walrus Party Cafe
Feet off the floor after dinner is over? We do! We convert the restaurant. Chairs aside and dancing on the tables. On Friday, Aug. 1, Saturday, Aug. 2 and Tuesday, Aug. 5 from 10:30 p.m. in our cafe. Free admission.
Every night from 23:00 to 04:00. Not done partying yet? After the parties outside are over, we will continue during the Beestenboel Afterparty in the back room with us.

During Sneekweek (August 1-7) Proeflokaal Sneek will be transformed into the coolest, most intimate and pounding house party called Planeren! The whole Sneekweek long, from 23:30 - 04:00, we will be raving in Sneek with DJ's like De Sluwe Vos, Michel de Hey, Nothing But Funk and UK Gerrit!

Also in the Bolwerk during Sneekweek there is plenty to do. At this location a varied program is offered for everyone who loves music and conviviality. On Tuesdays special attention to the Sneker Stappers evening. You can find the Bolwerk at the Kerkgracht 8 in Sneek.

During the Sneekweek you should definitely drop in at the cozy Café de Bakkersdochter in the Scharnestraat! This is where you come home! On Friday evening August 4 and Tuesday August 8 from 21:30 it's time! Then we welcome with great enthusiasm the talented Sneker artist Johnny (Kay) Kamminga on stage, who will take us on an unforgettable musical journey full of English and Dutch hits. And if that is not enough, he will also perform his latest single: "Mi Amor"! Also on Saturday there will be live music.

In the middle of the Sneekermeer lies the Starteiland. This is the gathering place for sailors, but also for visitors there is something to experience. During the Sneekweek there is a special program on the Starteiland including music, activities and catering. A great place to watch the races up close or to relax on the water.
