Literature and life’s big questions come together at “Storm & Silence” at the Frisian Maritime Museum in Sneek. Surrounded by historical artifacts that evoke shipwrecks and safe voyages, renowned writers discuss life’s storms and the longing for silence.

Lokaal 55, Sneek’s premier culinary caterer, will serve a luxurious three-course dinner in the museum galleries, with sophisticated presentations as interludes between courses.

Start: 5:15 p.m.; reception with appetizers beginning at 4:45 p.m.

How do you find stillness when your life is in turmoil? Kirsten van Santen will discuss this topic with three bestselling authors.

After her burnout, Brankele Frank wrote *Het Grote Ontprikkelboek*(The Great De-Stimulation Book), about how we can de-stimulate ourselves in our overstimulated society.

Suzanna Jansen describes how differently we used to deal with this in her essay*Project RUST* —about mothers who were sent to rest homes in the 1950s and ’60s.

And in his latest novel,*Twee Prinsen*, Splinter Chabot tells the story of two boys who briefly live out the fairy tale that has been forbidden for centuries.
