The Picturesque Route with Captain Rob (private boat tour with lunch)
- weekly on Monday and Tuesday starting August 17, 2026 until October 15, 2026vanaf 11:00
The Picturesque Route is a tour you’ll never forget. During this trip, you’ll feel as if you’re in a movie set. That movie-like setting begins right in the old Frisian village of Goëngarijp. This is a small medieval canal village southeast of the Sneekermeer and the Goingarijpster Poelen. We’ll also sail through the village of Broek. Today, both Goëngarijp and Broek are still characterized by the presence of a wooden bell tower. In the past, freestanding bell towers were more commonly built in the northern part of the Netherlands.
The surrounding area offers beautiful views and picturesque little ditches. You’ll see a long stretch of lovely gardens along the water where hydrangeas, lilies, and daffodils shine in the sunlight. The surrounding polder landscape is an oasis of tranquility and provides a habitat for many meadow and water birds. All in all, it’s a wonderful experience. So a camera is an absolute must!
Book the Picturesque Route package if you enjoy peace and quiet and have a little extra time to spend on the water. Of course, Captain Rob also has a nice drink on board. In the meantime, you can have lunch or a picnic on board or on an island in the Sneekermeer. This makes the package truly complete.
By the end of this day on the water, you’ll probably want to sail this route again next year.
