Canal tour Coffee at the Molenaar in IJlst

Morning cruise with an open boat (praam) from Sneek to IJlst and back. First you sail through the city canals of Sneek. Via the Geeuw you sail to the next Frisian town IJlst. Here you will pay a coffee visit to Houtzaagmolen de Rat and (if open) Museum Houtstad IJlst. With the guided tour, you will learn all about why IJlst is also known as the Houtstad. When there is sufficient wind, the sawmill is in full operation. The tour including the guided tour takes 2.5 hours.

Location
Boarding location is at the dock of Cafe/Restaurant De Kajuit (at Jachthaven De Domp), Dompleane 1 in Sneek. Parking is available at the restaurant itself.

Important to know
Please be present at the dock 10 minutes before departure. Keep in mind that you will be sitting still on the open praam during the sailing. If the weather is chilly, bring a sweater or jacket. Fleece blankets are on board. Possibly also umbrellas if they are needed. In sunny weather: remember a cap and sunscreen.

Full is full. There will only be a cruise if there is sufficient participation.

The tour in Sneek goes under low bridges. Bending down is therefore necessary in some places. The skipper will indicate this in advance.
