Currently in the Martini Church in the Oosterkoor there is an exhibition of work by Hennie Dijk-Stel. She lives with her husband in Aldwâld. There they have a beautiful garden, which is also open to visitors. This garden is a great source of inspiration for her, both the forms and the colors. Details, but also the big picture.

Raised in Heerenveen, she first went through teacher training in Utrecht, after which she continued her studies at the Vredeman de Vries Academy in Leeuwarden, the West Dean College in England and the European Art Academy in Trier. This was followed by many master classes.

She works on paper, panel or canvas and uses various techniques: pencil, ink, watercolor, oil and acrylic paint. In addition to free work, she also creates commissioned garden portraits. For several years she has also been infected with the virus of botanical illustration. Meticulous work in watercolor and pencil.

The exhibition consists of very diverse work, showing you how different her work is.
