May vacation: Are you a lifeguard at sea?
Can you keep standing when the storm is blowing? And how do you talk to each other on board on a raging sea? At the Fries Scheepvaart Museum this May vacation you can test your suitability as a lifeguard at sea.

After all, KNRM rescuers have been helping people in distress on the water for 200 years. And for that you have to be strong in your shoes, because sometimes it is super exciting!
Do you dare?
Using a worksheet, you visit the exhibition Rescuers at Sea. There you will see real KNRM'ers, their rescue stations and the boats on which they sail. You will throw a lifebuoy, inspect a gigantic life raft, and try on a rescue suit within two minutes. Do you dare to become a lifeguard?
Practical Information
The children's worksheet at Rescuers at Sea is available free of charge throughout the May vacation (April 24-May 12). Reservation is not necessary.
Note: The museum is closed on King's Day and Ascension Day.
