On May 17, the Province of Fryslân, together with the Marrekrite, Water Police and the Department of Waterways and Public Works, will open the doors at the Uitwellingerga support station harbor for a unique open day.

Here you will have the chance to admire an armada of boats from Provinciale Waterstaat, Marrekrite, Water Police and Rijkswaterstaat up close and learn how they are used for their specific tasks.

Take a look at Provincial Waterstaat's electric inspection vessel the PW10, which monitors 1,000 km of provincial waterways. Discover the environmental boat and mowing boat of Recreatieschap Marrekrite that manage and maintain the jetties and other mooring facilities. And admire the large boats of Rijkswaterstaat and the Water Police, which are used for enforcement on the water.

There is also a demonstration of remote bridge operation on a large screen, provided by an employee of the control center in It Swettehûs. Take all the time you need to look around, ask questions of the crew of the ships and learn more about the indispensable nautical tasks of these organizations. Don't miss this open day!
