Sneekweek Sup Clean Up

During the Sneekweek we are fully committed to sustainability, from reusable cups to a clean city center. And you can help out during the SUP Clean-up! With grab and garbage bag on your SUP you'll paddle through the canals and fish litter out of the water. Good job, and fun too!

The initiative of the Watersportverbond and partner Allianz Benelux has already removed 1,663 kilos of litter from the water by 2022. Kiran Badloe, ambassador and Olympic windsurfing champion, explains why fishing waste out of nature is so important: "Improve the world, start with yourself. That's what I was always taught at home. And that's what I really work hard for as an ambassador for Clean up on Tour.' 'As an intensive water sportsman, I see it all over the world. Then suddenly there is a full garbage bag floating or lying in the water, a shopping cart, a shoe sole or plastic caps. That's really not acceptable. We have to do something about that.

Afterwards the "catch" will be collected and counted. Every bottle, cup or wrapper less in the water is profit - for nature, for Sneek and for Sneekweek!
