The Everyone who has ever experienced a concert of the Irish folk group the Kilkennys agrees: the band is a live sensation! The energetic musicians always know how to put classics, pub songs and ballads like "Whisky in the Jar" and "The Wild Rover" in a new and distinctive format.

This year they are again on a field trip through the Netherlands: from Galway to Dublin Town to... Sneek of course!

The band name refers to - how could it be otherwise - the Irish town of Kilkenny, where the musicians were born and raised. Inspired by icons such as The Dubliners and The Clancy Brothers, the men continue the tradition of making existing traditionals their own: this rightfully earns them the title of 'torchbearers' of these musical greats.

In recent years, The Kilkennys have not sat still: their passion has taken them around the world ánd back to the studio to work on new material (new release expected in mid-2025!). Besides frontman Davey Cashin and his fellow multi-instrumentalists Mick Martin and Tommy Mackey (bass, banjo, mandolin, bodhrán and Uilleann pipes), drummer Davey Long and accordionist/pianist Jason Turk will also travel with them to the Netherlands.
