'Love' fountain Leeuwarden (11 fountains)

"Love" consists of two 7-foot-tall, white sculptures of a boy and a girl. They appear to be looking at each other, but their eyes are closed. Their facial expression is serene. Around them is a 2-meter-high cloud of fog that we can wander around in. 'They dream,' says Plensa; 'for children the future is a dream full of promise.' The Spanish artist got his inspiration for the fog fountain when he saw the mist over the Frisian fields early in the morning. 'In Friesland,' he said, 'the water comes out of the ground.'"
