The museum, located in Sneek's restored railroad station, possesses not only a large collection of models of both Dutch and foreign model trains, but also a number of tracks, including two so-called factory tracks by Märklin and Fleischmann.

With over 5000 models, the model railway museum possesses the largest collection of model trains in Europe. Furthermore, there are many moving tracks that you can operate yourself. Visitors can play with tracks themselves. You can also ride the HSL on a computer. A visit to the museum is educational for young and old. New themed exhibitions can be seen regularly. Located in the beautifully restored station building of Sneek.
