Overtuinen IJlst
The overtuinen, so called because of their location across the road, used to be used for bleaching laundry. IJlst is the only place in the Netherlands where the overtuinen have been preserved. Because of these famous overtuinen, the town holds an annual overtuinenfair in early June.
