The play sculpture is an anniversary gift from the Intercommunal Gas Company N.V. Westergo. The company existed 25 years and on the occasion such play plastics were placed in eight places. Besides Ysbrechtum in Lemmer, Bolsward, Balk, Witmarsum, Koudum, Wommels, Joure and IJlst. The sculptures consist of the same elements which are arranged differently. The commission came about through the mediation of the Stichting Kunstprojecten in Sneek.
