Frisian Maritime Museum
The Frisian Shipping Museum is a versatile museum about the history of Frisian shipping from the 17th to the 20th century. In addition to much of Frisian shipping and shipbuilding, the museum provides an overview of water sports from the 19th and 20th centuries and of the living culture of merchants and skippers from Sneek and the Frisian Southwesthoek. Live, experience and discover life on board in the new Children's Museum!

Open: Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday from 12 noon to 5 p.m. Closed on public holidays.

Interactive children's museum
The Children's Museum is a special room within the Fries Scheepvaart Museum where all children aged 4 - 12 years can work on the theme of shipping in Friesland in an active and interactive manner.

City walk
At the Fries Scheepvaart Museum you can book a city walk accompanied by a city guide from 10 people.
