Wilhelminapark
The Wilhelmina Park in Sneek was built in 1898 in the English landscape style. It looks almost entirely as according to the original design of landscaper Gerrit Lambertus Vlaskamp was intended. The park was named a national monument in 1999. After the Vondelpark in Amsterdam, the Wilhelminapark in Sneek is the second park in the Netherlands to enjoy national protection. Since 1949, the Wilhelmina Park is owned by the municipality.

In addition to cultural historical elements and special trees, you will find a playground, a duck pond and an aviary with (white) peacocks, chickens, special ducks, crown cranes, as well as hamsters, parakeets and rabbits. Children can enjoy themselves in the playground that is centrally located in the park.

Rasterhoff Park
The forest area along the A7, on the east side of the town of Sneek, is called Mayor Rasterhoffpark. The park has an area of more than 30 hectares and is located on the south side of Sneek. It was created by the merger of the Urban Forest, built in the eighties of the twentieth century (also called Forest Forest), a new decoration of the former landfill and an old sand excavation.

There are paths, bridges and a large plunder (bat path) and park furniture. In the park space has also been created for various inviting play facilities.

Mayor De Hooppark
In the Mayor De Hooppark there are a deer camp, hiking trails, the swimming pool It Rak and adjacent there are several marinas. The northern part of the park consists of an elongated hiking trail, while the part around the pool is wooded.

Zwettebos

Along De Zwette on the north side of Sneek towards Scharnegoutum you can take a nice walk through the Zwettebos. Here is a sporty fitness route and there are several benches that offer beautiful views.
