XMAS Sneek Christmas parade & igniting Christmas lights

XMAS Sneek Christmas Parade where Santa Claus is festively brought in and the lights large Christmas tree is lit.

In December the inner city of Sneek is transformed into a beautifully lit winter scene. The big Christmas tree will be decorated again and all of Sneek will be enveloped in atmospheric Christmas lights.

Saturday, December 12
16.00 - 17.30 Xmas Sneek Christmas Parade

This Saturday Santa Claus will make his festive entrance into Sneek during the Christmas Parade. At 16.00 several floats and walking (music) acts start and make a route through the center. End point is the Schaapmarktplein at 5 p.m. where the large Christmas tree is festively illuminated. Beautifully lit floats move through the city and hand out treats to children. Around 5 p.m. we will gather at the Schaapmarktplein where Santa Claus will ignite the Christmas tree lights.

Veemarkthal, Stationsstraat, Martiniplein, Oud Kerkhof, Marktstraat, Leeuwenburg, Grootzand ZZ, Singel, Kleinzand, Jousterkade, Oosterdijk, Wijde Burgstraat, Nauwe Burgstraat, Schaapmarktplein, Grootzand ZZ, Hoogend, Oude Koemarkt, Grote Kerkstraat, Marktstraat, Leeuwenburg, Schaapmarktplein.

On the Schaapmarktplein, Santa's car will stop for the ignition of the Christmas tree lights.

In the evening you can still enjoy the Christmas cheer in one of the many catering establishments in the city until the late hours.
