From Sneek you can explore beautiful cycling and walking routes. Sneek has several beautiful parks and gardens that offer entertainment for the whole family. Walk along historic paths, have a picnic on one of the beautifully situated benches, meet peacocks, chickens, special ducks and cranes or encounter a herd of Scottish Highlanders.

Walking in the nature of sneek

On the site of 'natuurlijkwandelen' (natural hiking) you can also go for a beautiful hiking trail of for example the Potskar. But also in the whole region this site has nice walks.

Brekkenroute

You cycle along the Oudegaaster Brekken, water that is directly connected to the lakes. Everywhere you look is water. Special: The area is an absolute favourite of the pink-footed goose. Almost all pink-footed geese winter here in Southwest-Friesland and then go to Spitsbergen to breed.
