Purification bacillus (water treatment in Tinga district)
The artwork on the Geeuw, near the sewage treatment plant on Buitenroede, was designed and made by the artist André van der Linden from IJlst. It is an abstract sculpture of dark varnished wood, symbolizing living purification organisms. It was manufactured in 1974 and is about 6 meters high.
